The Multi-Lab
The 30th Century Welcome to the Multi-Lab, your window into the 30th century. The galaxy 1000 years in the future is a much larger place, from the perspective of the people of Earth. Our planet is now a member of the United Planets, a young federation of worlds uniting humans with races like the green-skinned geniuses of Colu and the shape-changers of Durla. Problems loom on the horizon, however. The militaristic sentients of the planet Khundia are alligned with a mysterious organization called the Dark Circle, the yellow-skinned genetic manipulators called the Dominators lurk behind some corner or another, and there have been hints that a near-omnipotent being known as the Time Trapper may be exerting his control over the timestream. All in all, the future is bright, but it looks like the road will be bumpy at times.
The Legion of Super-Heroes is helping to pull the worlds of the UP together, both by serving as super-powered protection, and by showing how different sentient races can not only co-exist, but in fact thrive. The Legion was created by the wealthy R.J.Brande, after the first three members used their abilities to save his life from assasins. Brande is now U.P. President, a role he took after a scandal threatened to rip the young government apart. The Legion is a constantly evolving group. Sadly, death has visited the Legion more than once, and a cadre of new members have joined the ranks, from the galaxy-seeding Valor to Princess Jeka of Orando. Valor is arguably the most powerful Legionnaire, with his Daxamite invulnerablility, flight, super-speed and strength. However, less conventional heroes like Element Lad Jan Arrah, with his ability to transmute any element into any other, or Titan native Saturn Girl, an exceptional telepath. Of course, we can't forget our host, the super-intelligent Brainiac 5. His genius has led to an amazing number of advances, including the development of rings that allow Legionnaires to fly, to a serum to cure the lead poisoning that is deadly to natives of the planet Daxam.
The Legion of Super-Heroes
The Multi-Lab Brainiac 5 is otherwise known as Querl Dox of Colu. Brainy does his best work in the Multi-Lab. Querl posseses an amazing 12th level intellect, making him one of the most brilliant creatures in the known universe. The Multi-Lab is the team's laboratory, but Querl uses it more than any of the other members. In fact, the rest of the Legion stays away from the Multi-Lab whenever possible, because Brainy's mistakes can often be deadly to innocent bystanders. However, the benefit of his work usually outweighs the risk. Dox is the latest in the line of geniuses who carry the Brainiac title. The first Brainiac was a 20th century villian who battled Superman. His son, Vril Dox, went on to liberate the people of Colu from the computer tyrants, and he founded the interstellar police force called L.E.G.I.O.N.
